If you’re thinking “I haven’t seen a blog post from Deep South Focus lately” you are correct. In today’s post I’ll share what has been happening lately in our world.

Can you believe this yo-yo like weather we have been having? Today it is 62 degrees here in Mobile, AL and tomorrow they are calling for 50% chance of frozen mix and a low of 27 degrees. Even with the polar vortex arriving, with photography, you can escape away to warmer tropical environments. Here are some photographs that are sure to warm you up and have you dreaming of an escape to far-away places.

While I actually began shooting car shows in 2011 as a hobby, as more people came to learn of my photography from various car shows around the gulf coast, we began to have requests from vehicle owners to do private photo shoots and requests to attend and shoot specific car shows. As of this blog post, since we launched Deep South Focus Photography in 2012, we have photographed well over 100 automotive events from the central gulf coast, to Key West and up to Virginia, plus numerous private shoots. We have had our automotive photography featured in several national publications, including Modern Mopar magazine, Corvette Magazine, and Chrysler Power magazine.

Well another year is a wrap. 2018 was our most successful year yet and we look forward to an even better year this year.

"Glassy Water Sunrise" is a newly added photo in our Sunrises and Seascapes collections. Living near the bay offers numerous opportunities. First, it is a great place to ride bikes. There is nothing like the bay front views to get you going bright and early (or at o'dark thirty) when you would rather be sleeping. Second, the photo opportunities are nearly endless, from sunrise shots on the western shore and sunset shots on the eastern shore and everything in between.
